I believe I've been depriving you all of a nice good catching up post for quite a while...my Random Facts of the day don't count. Neither do those one paragraph wonders. So I hereby redeem myself! With a nice (hopefully) healthy sized post. And a new layout! Shiny.
Andy's currently trying to get my hyped up on this new hip hop ab worky outy thing he got off the internet. I'm so not into ab work outs. I have absolutely NO core strength at all. Not to mention that I can't dance. Hip hop anyway. But, Andy says, we get to listen to his new German techno he found!
That changes everything.
We'll see. Maybe I'll survive. Maybe I'll just look like an idiot. I'm leaning toward the second one.
School continues to go along smoothly, even though I had to do a fair amount of catching up this week since I didn't get that much school done when the Harden's were here.
~RABBIT TRAIL!~
Speaking of Hardens, it was pretty much the awesomest thing ever having them down here. Never got more than 5 hours of sleep a night. The fun just never stopped. I miss my Ponca people...but if I get into that, this'll be a depressing post. And we doesn't want that, does we, precious? I'll just end this rabbit trail with the fact that you all need to come down to Houston, k? We good? Good.
Back to school. I'm still a teeny bit behind on Algebra, and I'm hopeless in Geography, but besides that, all goes well.
I'm trying to imagine a better world where fall is more fallish in Houston, but to no avail. The greeness still surrounds me, except for the occasionally tinted leaf(Note: Leaf. Not tree, not branch, not leaves. Leaf.) I'm feeling rather wimpish to say that I got cold and needed a hoodie and fuzzy socks when it was only 70 degrees ouside. I'll never survive if I move to Alaska. But that's completely and totally out of the question, so I'll forget I ever said anything and blissfully go on with my midwestern life.
I've become hopelessly addicted to tea yet again. With the summer months being as meltingly hot as they were, I never even touched the stuff unless it was iced. (which brings me to note that it is EXTREMELY difficult to get unsweetened tea here. It's chuck full of sugar in the gross and overwhelming way.) But now that it's cooler and I'm in more need of caffine rushes in the morning, I've been drinking entire pots of the stuff. Sad, I know. One thing that hasn't helped my hopeless craving is the fact that we have a microwave not 20 feet away from my room. The previous owners of our house left their microwave in the kitchen(and by the way, it completely flails as a microwave. It takes 3 minutes to heat anything aside from a tortilla up.), we put our old one up in the family room, which isn't terribly away from where I make my scholastic nest of books, pencils, calculators, three ring binders, and paper clips(I use a surprising amount of them. It amazes me.) I used to only have about 1-2 cups a day, and normally gave up after that because it got cold and I was too lazy to walk all the way down stairs to heat it up again. Now, any time my tea gets nippy, it's just a brief walk away to get it hot again.
Problem of always cold tea solved. But now I'm utterly dependent. My preferred favorite at the moment is peach. Mmmm....
I've lost count of the number of lizards we've found in our house. Yes, lizards. The little runts are everywhere. But they're so...cute...Most of them are only about an inch and a half long, and like to hide in corners. My mom absolutely abhors them, and normally gets the male folk of the household to 'git it. Once, she accidentally vacuumed one up. It wasn't good. On the occasion that the male folk are not about, I'm the one who has to handle them. I've never once succeeded...until TODAY!
The little guy was in the library. Mom was moving a desk and shreiked, so I flew to the...*cough* rescue.
I managed to trap him under a bowl and then slid a clipboard underneath so I could carry him outside.
I was so proud of myself.
Well, I'm officially out of interesting things to say...not that I ever had interesting things to say in the first place...I kinda rambled a bit. So if you managed to read through this entire thing without passing out, I applaud you.
And now Andy's making me do this hip hop ab thing. If I survive, I'll let you know how it went. If not...well...I love you guys.
May your days be merry and briiiight...man, I gotta stop playing Christmas songs.

  1. Me thinks the new layout is cool.

Mmm endless peach tea 20 feet from your room? I vote yes. I haven't ever tried peach tea. I must do that. I bet we have some around here....though I'm in a bit of a hot chocolate phase right now.

Are all your lizard friends Anoles? We had bunches of them in Houston. Cute little boogers, ain't they?

Have fun with hip hoppy abs or whatever that was :P

Oooo!! Prettiful new layout! LOVE the guitar in the lake...although, that's probably really bad for the guitar! And, your picture makes me laugh :)

PEACH tea is the best! Have you ever tried the caramel peach stuff? It's yummy :)
